Splitting to beat upload limits

Many portals only accept PDFs under a few megabytes. If compressing is not enough, split the file into parts of every 10 or 20 pages and upload them one by one. You can also compress each part afterwards with the PDF Compressor.

Tips

Page numbers in the box are the real page order in the file, not the numbers printed on the pages.

To combine the pages back in a different order, use Merge in the PDF Converter.

Sideways pages? Fix them with the PDF Rotator first.

Frequently asked questions

Does splitting lower the quality?

No. Pages are copied as they are, text stays text and images are not recompressed.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Splitting happens on your device in the browser.

Can I split password protected PDFs?

Encrypted PDFs usually need the password removed first in the program that created them.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Pick the PDF from Files, split it and save the result back to Files.
