Frequently asked questions
How do I write page ranges?
Separate pages with commas and use a dash for a run of pages. For example 1-3, 5, 9-12 gives you pages 1, 2, 3, 5, 9, 10, 11 and 12 in that order.
Does splitting lower the quality?
No. Pages are copied exactly as they are, including text, images and links, so nothing is re-compressed.
Can I split a password protected PDF?
Not yet. Remove the password in your PDF app first, then split it here.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Splitting happens in your browser with the open source pdf-lib library.
How do I put pages back together?
Use the Merge PDFs tab in the PDF Converter to combine files in any order.
