How to rotate PDF pages and save them

Scanners and phone apps love to save pages sideways. Rotating the view in a PDF reader does not fix the file. Here is how to rotate pages for good, so they open the right way for everyone.

Rotation that sticks

Many readers only rotate the view, so the page is sideways again next time. The PDF Rotator changes the page rotation stored in the file itself, so it opens correctly everywhere, including on phones and in upload portals.

Tips

Rotating does not recompress anything, so quality stays exactly the same.

Need to remove the blank back sides of a scan too? Use the PDF Splitter to extract the pages you want.

Still too big to email? Run it through the PDF Compressor.

The PDF Rotator is free, needs no sign up, and your files never leave your device.

Frequently asked questions

Does rotating a PDF lower the quality?

No. Only the page orientation changes. Text and images are untouched.

Can I rotate just one page?

Yes. Use the buttons under that page and leave the others as they are.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The rotation happens in your browser on your own device.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Choose the PDF from Files, tap to rotate and save it back.
