Safe zones matter

Vertical video apps put buttons, captions and profile names over the edges of your image. Keep faces and text in the middle of a 1080 x 1920 frame, with roughly 250 pixels clear at the top and bottom. Banners and covers are cropped differently on phones and desktops, so keep the important part in the center.

Tips

Design once at the biggest size, then crop copies for each platform.

Platforms change their layouts often. Check a preview before an important campaign.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best all round size?

There is no single size, but 1080 x 1350 works well on Instagram and Facebook feeds, and 1080 x 1920 covers all vertical video apps.

Why do my images look blurry after upload?

Platforms recompress uploads. Starting at the exact recommended size avoids an extra resize step that softens images.

Should I upload PNG or JPG?

JPG for photos. PNG for graphics with text or flat colors, which can stay crisper.

Are my images uploaded to GlowPress?

No. Cropping happens on your device in the browser.
