Fast or Precise?

FastOriginal, no re-encodingSecondsSnaps to the nearest keyframe, can be off by a moment
PreciseRe-encodedSlowerExactly where you set it

Why Fast mode can be a little off

Videos store full pictures (keyframes) only every second or two, and the frames in between depend on them. Fast mode copies the video without re-encoding, so the cut has to start at a keyframe. For most clips that is perfect. When the exact frame matters, choose Precise.

Frequently asked questions

Does trimming add a watermark?

No. GlowPress never adds watermarks.

Is my video uploaded?

No. Trimming happens on your device in the browser.

Will I lose quality?

Fast mode keeps the original quality because nothing is re-encoded. Precise mode re-encodes, with very little visible difference.

What formats can I trim?

Most videos your browser can play, such as MP4 and MOV from phones. The result is saved as MP4.
