Image Compressor

Make photos smaller for websites, email and social posts. Everything happens on your device, so your pictures stay private.

Lower = smaller file. 70 to 80 looks great for most photos.
Smart keeps JPG as JPG and turns PNG into WebP.

How to use the Image Compressor

    1. Tap the box (or drag files onto it) and pick one or more images.
    2. Choose a quality level and output format. The Smart option works well for most people.
    3. Optional: enter a max width to shrink large photos, for example 1920 for websites.
    4. Download each image, or grab them all at once as a ZIP file.

    Frequently asked questions

    Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. The compressor runs inside your browser using your device. Your images never leave your phone or computer.

Why did a file get bigger or stay the same?

Some images are already well optimized. When that happens GlowPress keeps your original file so you never end up with a bigger one.

    Which format should I pick?

WebP is usually the smallest and works in all modern browsers. JPG is the safest for older apps. PNG keeps every pixel but saves less space.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. Tap the box to pick photos from your gallery or files. Some older iPhones cannot create WebP files, so GlowPress switches to JPG automatically.

Can I compress iPhone HEIC photos?

Open them in the HEIC to JPG Converter first, then tap Compress on the result to send them straight back here.
