No accounts, no payments. GlowPress tools are free and need no sign up. Your files are processed in your browser and never uploaded.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 27, 2026

GlowPress ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This page explains what happens to your information when you use the GlowPress website at glowpress.pages.dev (the "site"), the GlowPress website.

Your files stay on your device

All GlowPress tools, including the image, batch, HEIC, background remover, PDF, video, creator and text tools, run entirely inside your web browser. The files and text you use are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to our servers. This is the same on the free plan and on Pro.

When you send a file from one tool to another (the Keep going buttons), share a file into GlowPress from another app, or send an image from the browser extension, the file is kept for a short time in your browser's own storage (IndexedDB) so the next page can open it. It is deleted as soon as the next tool picks it up, and old leftovers are ignored after 30 minutes.

AI models and engines that download to your device

Some tools need extra software that is too big to load on every page, so it downloads only when you use that tool:

  • Background Remover: an open source AI model (about 4.6 MB or 6.6 MB) plus the ONNX Runtime engine (about 11 MB), served from this site.
  • Video to GIF and Video Trimmer: the open source ffmpeg engine (about 31 MB), downloaded from the free jsDelivr network (cdn.jsdelivr.net). jsDelivr receives a normal web request (such as your IP address and browser type) but never your video.
  • AVIF and HEIC: small open source encoders and decoders, served from this site.

Your browser may keep these files so the tools start faster next time.

Saved on your device (local storage)

To make GlowPress easier to use, your browser stores a few things on your device only:

  • Your recently used tools, shown on the home page and tools page.
  • Your preferred settings for each tool, like quality, size, format or watermark text.
  • An offline copy of the site (a service worker cache) so pages open without a connection.
  • If you sign in: your sign in session and a copy of your plan (Free or Pro), so pages know your plan right away.

You can remove all of it at any time with the button below, or by clearing site data in your browser settings. Clearing it also signs you out on this device.

The GlowPress browser extension

The extension adds "GlowPress" options when you right click an image. It only acts when you choose one of those options. It then reads that one image and opens it in the matching GlowPress tool in your browser. It does not read your browsing history, does not collect personal data, and sends nothing to us. The image is processed on your device like any other file.

Information we collect

  • Contact form. If you send a message, we receive the name, email address and message you enter. The form is delivered by Formspree, a third-party form service, under its own privacy policy. We only use your details to reply to you.
  • Hosting logs. Our host (Cloudflare) may keep basic technical logs such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to keep the site secure and working.

Cookies

GlowPress itself does not use tracking or analytics cookies. The local storage described above is used only to make the tools, your account and your cookie choice work. Advertising cookies from Google are only possible when advertising is switched on, and only after you agree (see the next section).

Advertising

To keep the free tools free, GlowPress may show ads from Google AdSense on tool pages, guides, the blog and podcast pages. Ads never appear on this page or the Terms of Use.

  • Only with your OK. When ads are on, a cookie banner asks first. Until you accept, Google Consent Mode is set to "denied" and no Google ad code is loaded. If you choose "No thanks", no ad code loads at all. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie choices" link in the footer.
  • What Google does. If you accept, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads, measure them, limit how often you see the same ad, prevent fraud and, where allowed, personalize ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
  • Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland may instead see Google's own consent message (a Google-certified consent tool), which records your choice for Google and its ad partners.
  • Opting out. You can turn off personalized ads at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.

Right now advertising is switched off on GlowPress, so no advertising code runs and no advertising cookies are set.

Some pages may recommend tools with affiliate links, always marked as such (see our affiliate disclosure). When you click one, the partner site may set its own cookie so it can credit GlowPress if you buy something. GlowPress does not receive your name, payment details or what you buy. If you send a tip through a service like Ko-fi, that service handles the payment under its own privacy policy. Right now there are no affiliate links on GlowPress.

Children

GlowPress is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete your account, or any message you have sent through the contact form. To do that, use our contact page. We may keep payment records for as long as the law requires.
